Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT)

In recent studies, Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) by a trained and certified VRT professional has shown significant benefits for patients suffering from vertigo, dizziness, or imbalance, whether it is caused by an inner ear problem or other conditions. VRT is a physical therapeutic approach that is done through special therapy exercises customized to retrain the balance system.

EZ Rehab is one of the few physical therapy facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area that offers Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT).  Our founder, Ewa Zaborowski received advanced training certifications from Emory University School of Medicine and Duke University, specifically in this area of expertise. Ewa brings years of experience working with patients who have been debilitated and whose lives have been disrupted due to immobility and fear of falling. We have witnessed the great benefits of VRT, which allows patients to live more functionally and actively.

VRT exercises include:

  • Vestibular-Ocular Reflex Stimulation Exercises
  • Ocular Motor Exercises
  • Balance Training Exercises
  • Eye-Head Coordination Exercises
  • Postural Exercises
  • Gait Exercises
  • Increase overall activity level
